Baker is best known for his portrayal of a corporate lawyer sentenced to community service in "The Guardian," a network drama series that lasted three seasons. Starring as a crime consultant with an uncommon mind in "The Mentalist," he earned an Emmy nod for the role in 2008 and a Golden Globe nomination the following year.
On the big screen, Baker found his niche playing the love interest in romantic comedies such as The Devil Wears Prada (2006). He signed on for a remake of director Alfred Hitchcock's silent classic The Lodger in 2009.
