Anatol de Witt Spencer (Wallace Reid) and his young bride, Vivian (Gloria Swanson), are on their honeymoon when Anatol discovers something terrible: His high school sweetheart, Emile (Wanda Hawley), has become the sex toy of a flamboyant man (Theodore Roberts). The idealistic Anatol decides to rescue his old flame -- but soon enough, he'll need to save himself. This 1921 classic from Cecil B. De Mille was tres risque in its day.
