When a maniacal dictator dreams up the Actium Maximus Karnivale -- a gruesome circus competition in which alien dinosaurs fight to the death -- a space hunter is dispatched to find creatures to exploit. But instead of extraterrestrials, he and his crew find a crashed spaceship that could be the remains of a dead god, and in the wreck, they stumble upon an ancient riddle that could change life as they know it. Also includes Star Worms II.
