Director Roger Vadim updates his 1956 film with Rebecca De Mornay replacing Brigette Bardot as the femme fatale in this tale about a woman who uses her considerable charms to get a fresh start in life. From hitching a ride in a politician's (Frank Langella) limo as she escapes from prison to marrying a young carpenter (Vincent Spano) to get parole (after she lands back in the joint), Robin uses the men she encounters to advance her own goals.
