Filmed live in Cannes, France, in 1990, this collection of performances showcases many of the outstanding artists who recorded on Stax Records, the Memphis-based label known for its pioneering Southern soul sound in the 1960s and '70s. Songs include "Dock of the Bay" and "Soul Man" by Sam Moore, "Philly Dog" by the Memphis Horns, "Lovey Dovey" by Carla Thomas, "Big Bird" by Eddie Floyd and "Green Onions" by Booker T. & the MGs.
