Against her father's wishes, Meenakshi Rai (Nutan Behl) runs away to Mumbai to meet her sweetheart, Rajesh (Pran), when she meets the dashing and handsome Ashim Som (Shammi Kapoor), who helps her dodge the police and captures her heart. But whom will she choose? Bibhuti Mitra directs this classic Bollywood romance with music by O.P. Nayyar and a supporting cast that includes Johnny Walker, Minoo Mumtaz, Kammo and Cuckoo.
