When Soviet terrorists kidnap military weaponry expert Professor Braun (Ernest Borgnine) so that they can force him to make a high-tech laser cannon, the CIA sends agents Michael Gold (Brandon Lee, in his first U.S. starring role) and Alissa (Debi A. Monahan) to rescue him. Now, the agents are in a race with time as they attempt to grab the professor and recover a cache of stolen diamonds before the KGB snags Braun for itself.
