German filmmaker Niko von Glasow embarks on a very personal project with this documentary that profiles thalidomiders: people born with malformed or missing limbs because their mothers took thalidomide for morning sickness during pregnancy. Himself a thalidomider, von Glasow relates his struggle with negative body image and finds 11 others to pose naked with him for a calendar. As they all get to know each another, their self-confidence grows.
